Traverse City Daily Deals for Friday, April 10: Cheap Gas, Mulch Wars, and a Few Grocery Wins

Traverse City gas is not doing anything magical this morning, but it is sitting a little under the broader regional average. Most local stations appear to be hovering around $3.94 to $3.99, with Sam’s Club around $3.93–$3.94, so today’s update is more about finding the slightly better stop rather than chasing some fantasy cheap fill-up.

Groceries: not a huge reset, but a few real wins

Today is not a big grocery-ad reset day. A lot of the weekly windows were already rolling earlier this week, so this is more of a “pick off the good stuff” situation than a full cart-stuffing day. The standout is Meijer blackberries for 50¢, plus General Mills cereal at 2 for $4 after coupon and McCafe coffee pods BOGO. Oleson’s also has Motor City Pizza for $7.99 on its local social post, which is solid if dinner needs to be low effort and low drama.

Home + Garden: honestly one of the best categories today

Spring yard deals are stronger than grocery right now. Lowe’s SpringFest is running 5 for $10 mulch and 5 for $10 garden soil, and Home Depot’s spring sale is live with markdowns across plants, planters, landscaping supplies, and Vigoro black mulch at $3.33. Tractor Supply is also in the mix with 4 for $10 Scotts mulch and some BOGO-style seed and soil offers. If you need a practical post after gas, this is the one.

Local Eats: useful, but not the freshest content today

There are still a few worth knowing. The Little Fleet is doing daily happy hour from 4–6 p.m. with $5 draft beer$8 margaritas$8 negronis$8 wine by the glass, plus chicken wings + a draft for $14 Wednesday through Sunday. Left Foot Charley is still offering 25% off small plates and in-house bottles Monday through Thursday from 3–6 p.m., and Right Brain Brewery still has weekday happy hour discounts on pints. Good info, yes. Best standalone post today, no.

Bottom line

If you only have time to update a few things today, lead with gas, follow with Home + Garden, and keep grocery tight and selective. Today is more about smart usefulness than flooding people with every ad on the internet.

Check back later for updates if local prices move, and as always, I’ll keep the chaos trimmed down to the stuff actually worth your stop.
