Traverse City Deals This Morning: Gas Moved, Everything Else Mostly Held

April 9, 2026

If you only have time to check one category this morning, make it gas.

That is where the clearest real movement showed up today. AAA has the Traverse City metro average for regular at $4.112, which is down 4 cents from yesterday’s $4.152, while Sam’s Club Traverse City is currently showing $3.489 for regular. That does not mean every station is suddenly cheap. It means the spread is still wide enough that checking before you fill up actually matters.

Gas: still the most worth-your-time update today

If you want the safest low-price play this morning, Sam’s Club is still the cleanest verified answer. After that, the best in-town numbers I could surface publicly were tracker-based leads, not station-posted prices, so I would treat them as check-before-you-pull-in stops rather than gospel. Shell on Munson and Eighth Street are the most interesting non-club leads I found, and out-of-town tracker pages still suggest decent pricing in Williamsburg, Kalkaska, and Rapid City.

Grocery: useful, but not newly changed

Grocery is more “current week still live” than “fresh update.” The exact-price grocery deals I could verify this morning are mostly Meijer pages that remain good through 4/14. The cleanest ones were Coffee mate Original 24 ct at $2.99, Bellatoria pizza at $4.99, and Tillamook 48 oz at 2 for $10. So yes, there is still usable grocery content here. No, it does not look like a major new reset from yesterday.

Local eats: strong standing deals, but not a new post unless you need one

Your restaurant deal pages are still good. They just do not look newly changed today. Barrio is still running $5 casa margaritas, $1 off tacos and drafts, and half off tequila and whiskey during happy hour. Little Fleet is still one of the best easy combo plays with $5 draft beer, $8 cocktails/wine, and wings + a draft for $14. Smoke & Porter is still solid for a more substantial bar-and-food angle, and Minervas is still the lowest clean downtown drink entry. Great deals. Not a fresh-morning update.

Home + garden: worth keeping on the website, but not the first social post today

This category still has useful prices if you want them. Walmart is showing 2 cu ft Expert Gardener mulch at $2.47, 0.75 cu ft top soil at $2.58, and Miracle-Gro Potting Mix 25 qt at $7.97. Home Depot is showing Miracle-Gro organic outdoor potting mix 25 qt at $9.97 and Vigoro Weed & Feed 4M at $24.98. That is enough for a good website block or a weekly spring roundup, but today it does not beat gas for urgency.

Final take

Today is a Gas Watch first day. After that, I would use a weekly roundup if you want a second post, because grocery, local eats, and home + garden all have usable content but do not look newly changed enough to justify separate standalone posts unless you just need volume. That is the real move this morning: post what changed, not just what exists.
